About ACS
ACS is a church management software designed to help churches of all sizes handle finances, members, services, background checks, contributions, accounting processes, payroll, purchase orders, and more on a centralized platform. Ministries can maintain a record of incoming or outgoing contact, track members' attendance and participation levels, set up visitation programs, and enhance outreach opportunities.
ACS allows organizations to host events for churches and local communities, accept partial or full online payments, inform members about schedule changes or updates, and provide visitor badges to guests. Churches can engage with members in small groups, share calendars, and use the search functionality to retrieve data such as addresses, phone numbers, and emails from the database. Ministries can manage contribution statements, process check payments, accept one-time or recurring gifts, and track budgets or spend based on fund, committee, department, and project. Parishes can also file federal or state taxes, monitor employees' vacation and sick leave, set up spending alerts, and document insurance claims on a unified platform.
ACS enables churches to track asset details from acquisition to maintenance, print barcode labels, manage invoices, and view locations or directions on a map for home visits. The software also stores data for multiple ministries in a centralized repository and lets administrators configure security rights for staff members.

Pros
ACS is a software that just has worked for us. I have been here for 7 years now and the finance department has loved it the entire time I've been here.
Cons
We just switched from on-prem to on-demand and while we love the ability to use windows or Mac machines, we had to downgrade the number of people who could access it to stay within budget. The 5 usernames is a nice starting point but it was not deemed cost effective to add more users.

We used ACS for everything for several years, but now only use them for financials. We moved to a more user friendly platform for our users. This is a give and take situation the new system is more user friendly, but not as feature rich as ACS.
Pros
This software will do most anything you want with great support especially with Megachurch support. It is built for all kinds of churches and includes all the modules you would need. ACS is one of the only church management systems that include a financial module that will manage GL accounts as well as POs.
Cons
Software needs to be upgraded from the backend. Speed is an issue when running large reports and I think SQL would help this. This software is feature rich so it makes it not so user friendly sometimes and it kinda has a 90s look in several areas. NO API ACCESS.

We enjoyed using ACS after all functionality over aesthetics.

We didn’t like that the UI was pretty ugly and made it look like we were outdated

We wanted a way to integrate membership management and giving records. This afforded us that possibility.
Pros
The ease of use was great. First-time users were able to learn it quickly. Also, there are good instruction videos as well as customer call center. Able to meet our needs without stress
Cons
For a small church, the price could be a little cheaper per month or offer a multi-month discount

I improve my way of organizing and analyzing my activities inside and outside of my social environment. Applications are necessary because they help us improve our relationships and have time for other activities
Pros
It is very useful- I liked the ease of use and the characteristics it offers for the management of the church and the school. In addition, the ACS customer service and development teams were incredible. I recommend it a lot. Excellent
Cons
It is necessary to make some updates in certain areas to streamline the customer service process. In addition, it does not have the latest in operating system updates and passwords.
