Xref makes collecting references easy. It also makes it very easy to weed out bogus responses.

I do not like the meter at the top that categorizes negative and positive reviews.

Free trial allowed reference checks for one person. It's super easy to use.

Basically, it sent the references a list of questions, then let me know when the references responded, and showed me the responses. I could do the exact same thing myself in the same time and less cost. I thought it would be more robust.

Reference automation, as it makes the process faster

I feel is missing allowing an administrator to add information for a candidate. For example, if a candidate added a wrong email, the administrator should be able to change it without needing to ask for a new link. Also if the candidate missed something, the administrator should be able to add it in their profile.

- Fraud detection services which capture about 80% of fraudulent references
- Provides referee details allowing you to look at their LinkedIn and validate their history

- Although there is fraud detection, candidates can still provide fraudulent references and if you are not careful they can slip through. Maybe there should be a database of candidates that have previously provided fraudulent references

Xref has been very helpful in obtaining timely and accurate references, as well as flagging potential fraud situations, which have saved us time and hassle.

There are a few limitations in adding needed information or customizing the reference form.

I've never had any problems with the system.

The automation, this means I dont have to complie mutilple reference requests for candidates. A few clicks and its ent to teh candidate and they are able to fill it all out and the reference is then sent to their previous employers. Alos being able to see supicious activity, using the same IP address, very handy.

Generally very good, occasionally some candidates struggle with the tech, so anything that simlplifies the process.

Very easy to use. I like how it gives both parties notifications when completed.

I wish you could edit the responses when people enter in the wrong information.

I love that I can enter someone's details and let the magic happen behind the scenes.

Logging in. I often select the 'remember my password' and my username populates, but I never remembers my password, and it's annoying. I get it's for security purposes, but I wished I could just open xRef and it takes me straight to the platform.

I love that I can use it on both my computer and my phone! Everything transfers quickly so I can easily go back and forth which helps me continue conversations wherever I am!!!

I wish it was easier to access my contact list on my phone.

No people phone to phone reference as this was the normal.

Its so easy to use and it keeps you updated every step of the way on both sides of the process (Candidate/Employer).

Nothing is wrong with this product its top quality and doesn't need any updates.

-The layout of the program is extremely user friendly. It is simple to use for beginners!
-It has saved a large amount of time for me on a daily basis

-I don't feel the algorithm works properly for scoring candidates. Candidates will receive positive feedback from their previous employers, however the algorithm will then mark then a lower score out of 100% than I expect. I do not mind this as I read through all of the comments anyway, however companies that simply use the score only may have some misleading information

I would definitely say the ease of use and how intuitive the system is. The report generated is quite in-depth which is great as well.

The only thing I would like to point out is that the 'negative', 'positive', and 'neutral' stats are usually not that accurate.

Quick and easy to use platform. It was very easy to monitor how the candidate is progressing in reaching out to their references. I get very good feedback from previous employers.

I usually have to refamiliarize with the site as I use it infrequently but it's not daunting at all.

It helps give insight to any potential issues that may arise with contractors our company is hiring to teach courses.

On occasion, it lists the review as a % negative, but no negative language can be found. It is also hard to get someone to provide honesty in providing constructive feedback to a potential candidate.

3 applicants have told me they find the system too aggressive, it keeps coming relentlessly with the requests for references

I was actually a reference for someone and I as well found the requests to answer the reference a bit aggressive

Set up is fluid, opportunity to customise if needed, applicant ownership for referees, more time to focus on other parts of recruitment

Sharing results feature does not include record of who already shared with, so if you have to share with 2 or more people, must all be done at the same time, otherwise you forget who you have shared with.

Enjoy speed of use. Tracking down phone numbers and sectioning off time with references to go through the questions takes everyones time.

If we only need one reference, we have to ask the candidate to send the other xref to ourselves to send through the one. It would be great to have a feature that allows you to modify the amounts of references on demand

Easy to use, automated so takes the stress out of following up. Like the way it tracks if candidates are using same IP.

When you sign in you have to get a code all the time, this often does not work and has to be updated to get the reference and delays sign in.
