Corvus Axiom
About Corvus Axiom
Corvus Axiom is a cloud-based data management platform designed to help businesses within the mining industry to automate and analyze data for production systems. It allows users to capture information from multiple sources through integration with business fleet and plant monitoring systems and gain detailed insights into operations.
Key features of Corvus Axiom include management of quality, maintenance, statutory reporting requirements, safety and warehousing. It provides mobile applications and dashboards, which enable miners to centralize, share and fix issues using data for real-time reporting and improved decision making. Plus, it lets users practice Short Interval Control (SIC) across processes, driving improvements in production during shifts.
Corvus facilitates integration with several SCADA (FMS/IMS/LMS) applications across organizations, enabling enterprises to generate reports and draw unified conclusions for financial reporting. Supervisors and staff can use the platform to manage documents, customers, schedules, resources, compliance, projects, incidents, hazards, mappings, competency levels and more.

Corvus has proven over it's introduction into BMA last decade that the application and it's Vendor can meet any Business challenge / requirement asked of it. Whether it is from small scale user enhancements that eliminate Excel from the process, save significant time to complete tasks, highlight exceptions in source systems, and deliver trusted, validated and auditable data and reporting to all audiences internal and external, or the key enabler for 'big ticket' capital projects driven from Minerals or Global initiatives around Productivity and Maintenance improvements.
Intov8 are a well motivated, extremely knowledgeable in Mining (not just 'coding') Vendor, who do a great job given the constraints of being a small scale Vendor having to meet the often challenging demands of a Global Customer like BHP.
The intuitive nature of the Corus Axiom product is such that it has existed to date with a non-intentional lack of full User documentation, despite the 'hundreds' of key Users. Most 'peer to peer' or short training sessions get most Users up and running and adding value to their jobs using Axiom.
Pros
Scope of functionality (i.e. not just a Reporting Tool).
Facilitates 'De-Excelling' for 'source of truth' data and reporting.
Trusted auditable repository for Business Rules (mappings/calculations/source to target integration)
Systemised, robust, flexible Inbound and Outbound Integrations overcoming challenging source systems such as FMS (Modular / Minestar), and 1SAP.
Cons
Whilst Corvus has undergone a significant increase in functionality to meet BHP's aggressive demand, it's come at a cost where some 'final polish' quality is lacking on 'existing' functionality, and would benefit from a dedicated 'QA' update. This can adversely impact Support down the track where it's not clear what is a Support Agreement 'bug'/issue or a T&M fix at additional cost. I believe the 'next gen' POLR version of Corvus that will supercede Axiom will address these current status issues.

overall the product is very good and the support team are also very good with generally very fast response times.
however being the administrator on my site i would like a direct contact instead of just the support email contact.
Pros
the functionality is very good. it is much better than paper/book based systems. all the information in one place where the whole team(20 people) can see and use all at the same time.
Cons
Keep having to reinstall the app on the computer is very frustrating.
