It's great so far. D5 Render will surely stay as one of my main rendering engines
Pros
You can do a lot more even without having to avail the pro version. It's easy to use, it's fast and produces high quality renders with appropriate settings.
Cons
What I dont like about D5 Render is the lack of variation when it comes to interior assets when you're a free user. Also The monthly subscription for Pro is a bit expensive, especially compared to competition such as Vray.

I'm glad I switched from V-ray to D5 render - the quality of renders is similar, the speed is many times higher, the interface is simpler, the performance is much more stable
Pros
affordable price, speed and quality of operation, stability of operation, a wide range of models and materials
Cons
The material library could be a little bigger, and the model library could use more lighting and vehicle models

I switched from lumion to d5. Since it is compatible with 3ds max, I can work faster. Since it constantly improves and updates itself, it has the potential to become the best program on the market in the near future. I am excitedly waiting for new AI features.
Pros
The interface is quite simple. Easy to use. The free version is very good. Compatibility with 3ds max. Fast rendering. Continuous updating. There are good tutorial resources. Many ready-made scenes can be downloaded from the forum page.
Cons
Texture color settings could be better. There should be synchronization feature for 3ds max layers. HDR is not as good as Lumion yet. There may be a pause feature so that it does not use the GPU unnecessarily when you are not using the program. It can detect the ground and position itself relative to the ground while carrying objects. I would like it to be more compatible with forestpack

I'm using it for simple interior/exterior animations, which would take ages to render in corona/vray.
Pros
Render quality is more than acceptable. It works fast and connects smoothly with 3ds max. Materials can be modified. The animation process is pretty easy, so this could be a go-to software for simple camera move animations.
Cons
I would like more scene control and better material/texture transition from corona renderer. Also, native 3d connexion support could be better (although you can navigate through the 3ds max window. A better asset library is always welcome...

Overall it is becoming essential for a 3D artist to adapt to real-time visualization, D5 is a very user-friendly and at the same time very powerful tool to visualize anything.
Pros
The ability to see our projects coming to life in real time is something mesmerizing
Cons
There is room for improvement in the asset library Tab. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to download assets due to very inconsistent server issues.

Before I used D5 I was using Twinmotion. You can imagine that the difference was huge. Now I use D5 almost every week as a student to try different concepts and make the final renders. I think D5 has come up with very smart solutions to integrate AI and I also think updates with the caustics effect or the new camera tool are great. I really like using it and I will be in the future. The only thing that irritates me, is not having the option to add objects inside Sketchup. That would make prepare a render a lot easier and more fun.
Pros
- The capability of making realistic renders with ease.
- The realistic light effects
- The AI generated vines and AI environment match
- The caustics effect
Cons
- I miss the ability to add objects and materials inside programs like Sketchup (like with Enscape)
- I think the pro version is quite expensive and the free version doesn't have a lot of materials and objects.
- Making nice animations in D5 render is more difficult than in software like Twinmotion or Enscape.

A good experience, I am using it for my professional 3D visualization work, really good results are achieved in a short time if you know how to use its tools, the program gives you creative freedom, avoiding extensive and tedious configurations. It is likely that some configurable aspects are needed, but I do not doubt that they will be incorporated in updates.
Pros
Having easy tools, a friendly interface and surprising results, you just have to understand what you want to do and the program allows you to do it.
Cons
I think what could be improved is related to the 3D models of the vegetation, in quality and variety.

Love it! It has become one of the main software packages I use daily in my workflow.
Pros
The quality of the real-time viewport. The ease of use of the uncluttered interface. The speed and quality of the render engine itself. The large content library and its animation capabilities. The ability of the live links to immediately see the updates to my project scenes.
Cons
The one issue I have with D5 render is the lack of real displacement. It uses parallax displacement. This works in most cases but the ability to have true displacement in certain cases would be great. The competition with other real-time software is getting pretty fierce. Unreal engine now has real displacement and Chaos Vantage has just added it in its latest release. I hope that D5 will add it soon.

Pros
Its speed, ease of use and, above all, I love that each update incorporates interesting and innovative improvements.
Cons

D5 is a stunning real-time rendering tool that redefines the way designers and architects visualize their projects. What really stands out about D5 is its ability to generate photorealistic images with surprising speed, allowing users to experience their designs immersively without having to wait for long render times.
Cons

D5 Render seduced me 2 years ago by his quality to show a really impressive result in real time. I can perform virtual-live tours with an awesome look. I can achieve the photorealism I need really quick (depending the size of the project). Thanks D5's devs!! :D
Pros
Simplicity to apply and modify materials. Can perform an awesome virtual tour in real time, impressive.
Cons
Lost little details quality in video rendering, but that's not crucial in my opinion because I'm static rendering user more than animation.

D5 render is one of the best render software I have used. It creates high quality renders without taking much time. The new updates have awesome features which is totally a game changer and tops D5 render as a greater rendering software.
Pros
D5 render is a real time visualization software and we can see the project being rendered in real time that makes our render more accurate. The 2.6 update takes it to another level with AI filter snapping, generative vines on materials and new models on the library. It is more than ever easier to learn D5 render and create stunning renders with it with the best quality. The new video path generator creates stunning animations. The sync between sketchup and D5 render is stronger than before with the feature of displacing object on sketchup with that of models on D5 render.
Cons
The asset library for the free version is very limited. Most of the models are available on the pro version. Nature category has some nice assets but it is very limited for someone trying to render a landscape design or a garden. Also the character category has very limited available models on the free version which is understandable but still some of more would be nice.
