Payroll and Benefits Management with Gusto

Payroll, benefits, HR 401(k), and performance reviews may all be handled in a single convenient location. Gusto has helped me and my staff to be more productive with our time and to feel appreciated.
Pros
Friendly interface. Staff-friendly time and absence tracking and benefit administration tools. Human resources and 401(k)s work better together than ever. The price is reasonable for us.
Cons
Payroll blocks caused by a lack of State tax information can be inconvenient, as it requires contacting Gusto to request an extension until the necessary tax data is provided. Perhaps there's an easier method to simply hit a button and have the block lengthened.

I'm a huge fan of Gusto and recommend it for small businesses and nonprofits looking to set up or streamline payroll and benefits.
Pros
Gusto provides everything you need for payroll, hr, and employee benefits management. I really appreciate how quick their support team is to help us with any needs that arise.
Cons
When setting up health benefits, you'll need to download pdf of the health plans to see all the fine print details from the providers (ie Blue Cross, UHC). Gusto's support team does a wonderful job guiding you through the process so you don't get lost in the details or overwhelmed by the options.

Gusto is a great tool for small to medium-sized businesses looking for an easy-to-use, comprehensive HR and payroll solution. However, the higher cost and limited international support may be drawbacks for some businesses.
Pros
Employees can access their pay stubs, tax forms, and benefits details, which reduces administrative burden and enhances transparency.
Cons
While Gusto offers a lot of standard HR and payroll features, it has limited flexibility in terms of customization for specific business needs or unique workflows.

Gusto: a solid hub for small business employee management

My company uses Gusto to track hours and keep certain documents (tax, onboarding, signable forms from Jotform, etc). Its greatest asset lies in its integration of time clock and payroll services.
Pros
Gusto is impressively versatile — it can be used as a hub for both documents and hours tracking!
Cons
The only things I don't like:
1. How quickly access would time out, and how long the app often takes to load a new screen (~15+ seconds at times).
2. Some quirks affecting ease of entry for tracking hours (e.g. not being able to adjust the clock-out time to a future time, the requirement to enter a note before you can save a shift). Some companies it might make sense to have those requirements in place, but that could be better customizable.
Response from Gusto

We appreciate your feedback on areas like the time-tracking experience and app performance, and we’ll keep it in mind as we continue to improve. It’s great to know that the integration with payroll has been a benefit for your company.
