About JCAD CORE
JCAD CORE is a web-based enterprise risk management system designed for use in both the commercial and public sectors, including in central government, local authorities, housing associations, utility companies, and charities. Included are tools to assist users in identifying, monitoring, and mitigating risks, ensuring corporate compliance, exploiting new opportunities, and more.
JCAD's off the shelf risk management software, CORE, provides businesses with a framework that enables controlled management of risk and compliance with a clear link to objectives and strategy.
JCAD CORE gives users the option of using one or multiple risk registers to log identified risks, probabilities, severities, and mitigating actions. The risk register can be configured to align with any pre-existing risk management framework, and allows users to link risks to compliance, incident, and opportunity records, as well as strategy and reporting structure. Risk profiles are structured using a traffic light methodology, and a comprehensive audit trail is created automatically.
Performance metrics in JCAD CORE enable users to measure risk and control performance, through KPIs (key performance indicators) which link with objectives, KRIs (key risk indicators) linked to risks, and KCIs (key control indicators) which link with controls. Interactive dashboards and charts allow users to drill down from graphs to the underlying risk records. Automated alerts can be set up for items such as action reminders, risk & control assessments, and anomalous behaviors, to ensure that users are notified of upcoming deadlines and required action.
The software is smartphone compatible allowing you to access your risk registers from anywhere at anytime. The API integrations allow you to connect to Power BI solutions such as SAP, Oracle and others.

Simple, quick
Simple, quick
Pros
There are many positives, including very good value for money. The extent it can be tailored to specific needs and the addition of new features and functionality gives it significant future proofing for our needs, although we do have a number of suggestions for further enhancements/changes.
Cons
As different users have different access permissions what is displayed on e.g. dashboards only covers those records they can see. However, this is not clear on the screens when viewed and could therefore lead to some confusion/misleading information. A message linking to their access permissions etc would add this clarity - e.g. This displays only 'Resources' business unit records. We also have a number of other suggestions for enhancements and changes, e.g. secondary filters for dashboards.

Pros
It is an easy to use, well laid out and intuitive system that has required minimal training for me as the administrator to role out for wider use in the organisation. The support I receive from JCAD from initiating the system to ongoing development is excellent. I never feel like a burden and response times are excellent.
Cons
Reporting was a concern but the API link to use powerbi should help this.

Pros
As administrator: It is easy to understand data maintenance in setting-up organisation/Business unit. The tendency of complicating data quality is low. The size of users' access is suitably commensurable.Becoming conversant as a result of flexibility
As a user: It is easy to use and application speed is fast.
Cons
I will need to login every time I use it,though I'm aware that it's a cloud based software, which requires this kind of security.

Ease of use of JCAD Core v5 and folder function means its easy to locate risks.
Cons
Can't add users/contacts easily. Its quite cumbersome in JCAD Corev5

The system is very intuitive and I often have feedback from end users that it is easy to use. I appreciate the ability to add and amend fields in order to support our service offer and ensure the correct risk information is captured.
Pros
I appreciate the ability to add and amend the fields displayed throughout the system via the admin site. The JCAD team are also good at taking on feedback and offering an innovative solution to aid our end users.
Cons
I would prefer more flexibility and a simpler process to build our own reports and dashboards which would improve our risk reporting and the data presented.
