Keela is a cloud-based fundraising CRM designed to help nonprofit organizations manage donors and contacts, receive donations online, and foster deep donor relationships. As a cloud-based solution, Keela gives users the flexibility to manage donors and donations anywhere, anytime, from any internet-enabled device.
Keela provides users with an intuitive platform from which to manage volunteers, emails, and remote teams, as well as newsletters, files and donation receipts. The centralized dashboard and inbox give users an instant snapshot of their responsibilities, including tasks, follow-ups, and team discussions. Search functionality and assignment management tools allow users to locate inbox messages and manage follow-up tasks.
Keela’s CRM system allows users to manage their contacts and track all of their conversations and donations, as well as other updates. The CRM records important information such as the date of the last contact, the amount of the last donation, and the total amount donated, to help users track donation activity. Search, filter and sort tools allow users to organize their contacts.
Keela’s donation management features enable users to collect donations and issue receipts and thank you notes automatically, while the campaign management tools help users design, send and monitor engaging marketing emails to their supporters. Built-in project management tools also allow users to track team responsibilities and deadlines.

Keela and their team has been exceptional in their customer service and getting back with answers to my questions.
Pros
Keela's features were designed with non-profits in mind (versus business-based designs from competitors) that allow for easier organization of newsletter campaigns, volunteers, and interactions with contacts.
Cons
Keela 1.0 is rough around the edges in some aspects. For example, the e-blast editor is difficult to navigate on a laptop or smaller desktop screen as some text boxes or drop down menus get squished or pushed off screen, and pressing one wrong button could lead you to lose your work.

With Keela being fairly new for us still, everyday we use it we are learning new things that can be done within Keela! It has been a bit of an adjustment but we see lots of potential with Keela.
Pros
I personally love how customizable Keela can be depending on the user. It's also nice that there are many functions that can be taken advantage of in Keela, keeping most of our Data in 1 place instead of spread out between multiple products.
Cons
With the amount of Data that was in our old database, we have had a hard time with the transition of correct data into Keela from our old server. It has taken more time then we have envisioned to get everything into Keela from Kindful. Additionally, I have personally had issues with importing taking up to 6 hours with Keela.

I would never do business with them again for the above reason, I think COVID was just an excuses for their poor behavior.
Pros
The implementation was easy and I thought they cared about us as a customer.
Cons
In the middle of COVID while trying to survive as a non-profit, with no donation coming in and having no Summer Camp program running, we decided that we could not keep any non essence programs running as we needed to try survive and remain open. As our records would indicate we had not used Keela for over 2 years (COVID), so we email them and terminated our relationship (renewal) as it was about to renew. Keela would not return the money to us, so we contacted the CC company and disputed the charged. Keela told us that if we withdrew the dispute that they would refund our money. So we withdrew the dispute, but Keela NEVER return our money. This is not the type of relationship we wish to have with any of our vendors.

It's a great data management system and I like that it is specifically geared to donations. The set up has been slow for me - just because I'm doing it as a volunteer and had to work on it in dribs and drabs, rather than a concentrated amount of time. Can't say enough good things about the support team - they are amazing. Overall - I'm very pleased that I chose Keela.
Pros
The support is top notch. Their knowledge base is extensive, answering most of my questions without need to contact support. The videos produced to explain basic functions are excellent. But - when I can't find the answer - an email to the support team is answered within a day with just what I need to proceed.
Cons
Setting up reports is not an easy task. But - still learning!

In the time I have used Keela I have had no issues with it. The ease of use is great! You can input donations directly into Keela without using a spreadsheet and then importing. Businesses are listed separately with associated contacts attached to them. Finding and changing information of a donor is quick and easy.
Pros
It is easy to navigate and is very user friendly.
Cons
Some items that we flag with donations were not able to be flagged as we did before without setting up a separate segment.
